Exitstatements

Formed in early 2023, the experimental rock trio Exitstatements implements a spontaneous approach to songwriting with careful consideration of rhythm and space. The band delves into sonic landscapes that are both fresh and familiar, creating a unique and cohesive perspective that spotlights the delicate beauty beneath the minutiae of our everyday experiences.

Owen Stefaniak, known for his work with Emissary and Asrava, handles the low-end theory on bass duties. Kevin DeMars, a Triple Eye alumnus with an impressive track record in Vectors of Resonant Prescients, Soup Moat, and Volunteer, is well known for his unique and powerful drumming. Scott LaShay, recognized from his contributions to Northless and Lines and Terminals, provides sparse vocals, delivers heavy guitar riffs, and occasionally introduces ‘glitchy’ decorative textural flourishes.

These three seasoned Milwaukee scene veterans converge, each bringing a vast palette of influences from the avant-garde to punk to jazz. Their approach to songwriting, devoid of preconceived barriers, authentically embodies the diverse range of influences they draw upon. Over the last year, the band has dedicated time to refining their sound, shaping their material into a 7-song debut LP.

We are proud to announce that Exitstatements’s debut LP, “Exitstatements”, is slated for release on limited run vinyl and all streaming platforms on June 7, 2024, via Triple Eye Industries.
