Masterfully fusing elements of hip-hop, electronic, and experimental music, he creates soundscapes that are truly out of this world.

His debut project Night of the Beats Vol1 was released in 2018 and received critical praise including a Top 10 Albums of 2018 selection from Milwaukee Magazine. In 2022, Spacecrime rose to prominence by winning the prestigious Big Beat MKE beat battle competition, solidifying his status as one of Milwaukee’s most visionary beatmakers. Since then he has gone on to work with some of Milwaukee’s biggest talents including Dres, King Myles, Spaidez, and Guerrilla Ghost as well as artists throughout the US including Frank Yola and Jon Connor.

Release Reviews

TEI-099: Sounds from the Milky Way

"The beats are smooth and casual, while Myles’ flow feels like he coasts through the track in the best way as well. He certainly doesn’t go light when it comes to the bars, but the delivery feels so natural that it sounds like he doesn’t have to exert himself to bring the heat."

Allen Halas, Breaking and Entering

Following a 30-second instrumental sans accompaniment on the opening/title track, Spacecrime is joined by the Philly Anderson on the tone-setting “Hennessy” and the smooth-spitting likes of Mocity on the light and loose third song, “Mr. Groovy.” As the cosmic journey unfolds, the album also delivers standout features from Twan Mack (RIP) and Mad Static on “The Narrative” and Taiyamo Denku, who takes Milwaukee to task with agile lyricism employed on “If I Recollect.” Perhaps the most memorable sounds from Sounds From The Milky Way can be heard on “Give Me Something,” as a shimmering, uptempo bed of sound with inarguable pop appeal is heightened by the gruff and brash delivery of Bad Graphics Ghost.

The 10-track project features 11 Milwaukee acts, each of which put their own unique spin on spacey (pun intended) beats that pack a punch. There’s no shortage of lyricism here, with verses from Taiyamo Denku, Mo’City, Bad Graphics Ghost, and many more. There’s also a verse from the late Twan Mack, which has certainly gained a level of heaviness since his passing.
