Formed out of a shared affinity for raw honesty, heavy soundscapes, and no-frills execution, They Want Blood is the collaborative project of Milwaukee emcee Mad Static and Guerrilla Ghost producer Tron Jovi. Drawing on their mutual influences in hip hop, punk, and metal, the duo carves out a unique lane that’s deeply rooted in hip-hop tradition while steeped in noise, industrial, and socio-political urgency.
Tron Jovi first witnessed Mad Static’s lyrical force when they both opened for touring artist Blueprint at The Cooperage. Unfamiliar with him at the time, Tron was immediately struck by Mad Static’s natural tone and commanding flow once he hit the stage.
The two continued to run into one another at shows and Mad Static eventually featured on Guerrilla Ghost records and live radio performances. What began as feature spots evolved into a focused creative partnership when the pair realized their close proximity and shared intent could be harnessed into something more direct. The result is a full-length debut that’s as furious as it is focused — a no-holds-barred statement project that balances Mad Static’s lyrical precision with Tron Jovi’s unrelenting production – the chemistry is unmistakable.
Born and raised in Milwaukee, Mad Static is a multifaceted emcee, poet and lyricist whose voice has long anchored the city’s underground hip-hop scene. He draws deeply from personal experience—struggles with doubt, grief, societal tension—and channels them through raw, emotionally direct verses. From early open-mic nights and spoken-word roots to collaborations with a myriad of beatmakers and punk–rap hybrids, he’s always resisted being boxed in.
That connection has evolved into a formal project: They Want Blood, the joint endeavor of Mad Static + Tron Jovi. Their sound merges Mad Static’s razor-sharp bars with Tron’s dark, saturated production—bridging classic hip-hop modes and industrial/post-punk textures. This debut full-length amplifies their shared urgency, delivering politically charged narratives over a dense, confrontational soundscape.
We are proud to announce that They Want Blood’s debut LP, They Want Blood, is slated for release on limited-run CD digipak and all digital streaming platforms on January 9, 2026, via Triple Eye Industries.
